Angeles National Forest

I have returned home.

I do not feel exhuasted

I am not hungry

yet

I feel as if I lost something along the way.

And something else has taken control.

After a couple days in the bloody red sun of the Mojave desert, I returned to Southern California a changed man.

My 1st instinct was to eat. Well not really I had to do laundry very badly. But my 2nd instinct was to eat and so I immediately headed to the best chili in the world (fact) at Tommy’s World Famous in Palmdale.

Palmdale seems to me what Los Angeles may have looked like a century ago. Surrounded by the desert and the Angeles National Forest to the south it was particularly isolated.

Afterwards, I plunged myself into the Angeles forest to arrive at my final destination: Los Angeles.
