Mount Whitney / Mono Basin National Forest

a beautiful lake with a rich and important history to native american tribes. I hope that one day the lake may return to its natural levels and peoples return to Europe.

Mount Whitney was a sight to sore eyes. Another californian miracle, having Death Vallye, the lowest point in the States and Whitney the highest right next to one another. My temperature readings as I climbed the mountain went from a sweltering 110° F to a cool 80° F at trailhead.
